Oakland, CA—Daily, children of all ages and backgrounds are faced with social challenges, increasingly.  Moreover, as puberty evolves to adolescence, acceptance is critical and positive self awareness is fundamental. Statistics suggest that one out of 4 kids is bullied.

Mykah Montgomery is coming into this knowledge as mother to Mylaan, her precocious and shy adolescent daughter, along with these life lessons is the challenge of social acceptance.  Mylaan fancied tails from 4-8 years of age—all tails-- and her fascination with them prompted her mother to share their story.

The Little Girl Who Wanted a Tail is a book about just that.  Coupled with an original song composed by Montgomery, their desire is to address and eradicate the feeling of being “different” despite any childhood preoccupations and pastimes, thus the title of their single, “Different,” performed by Mylaan Imani.
Journey with Isaiah, and his faithful dog companion April, as he playfully inspires children from pre k – 3rd grade to share in his love for reading.

Overcome reading challenges like dyslexia, or become a child entrepreneur.
